SUPPORT THE TRUST
The Circus Hub is a registered charitable trust committed to making circus arts accessible, inclusive, and meaningful.
While class fees help sustain our operations, they don’t fully cover the scope of community impact we aim to achieve.
With your support, we can go further — reaching more people, delivering outreach initiatives, expanding accessibility, and strengthening our creative community.
WHY SUPPORT US?
Circus training builds physical fitness, artistic expression, community, purpose, and belonging. These benefits extend beyond the studio floor and into people’s lives and neighbourhoods — supporting wellbeing, creativity, confidence, and connection. The Hub also plays a role in Wellington’s cultural landscape as a resource for performance, workshops, creative collaboration, and public engagement with circus arts.

Your support helps fuel:

-
Community programmes that extend circus to schools and underserved groups
-
Outreach initiatives like the Rucksack Circus touring shows
-
Equipment, facility upgrades, and accessibility improvements
-
Financial resilience so the Hub can continue to nurture artists and community for decades to come.

Donating Time and Skills
It takes a community to run a circus. While we have a great staff, we have even greater ambitions, and additional help is always welcome.

If you have any spare time to offer, here are some of the specific skills that are always in demand at the Hub:

-
Governance: we are looking for new trustees to join our Board and contribute to the strategic leadership and governance of the Hub.

-
Fundraising: from scouring the internet for grant opportunities to writing the applications themselves, we're always looking for money-minded people to help advocate for the Hub.

-
Logistics for shows and projects: are you a master of to-do lists? Do you delight in creating the perfect plan? We could always use an extra pair of hands to help us make our dreams a reality.

-
Social media: we're working on our social media presence, and while we've got an excellent marketing expert, we always love when our people approach us with ideas for cool content. Whether you've just got an idea or you've got the time to create content, we'd love to work with you.

Don't see your skills represented on the list? Reach out anyways!
We've got volunteers who help us with everything from painting walls to reviewing our business model. Volunteers are a cherished part of our Hub community, and often help us accomplish things we wouldn't even have thought of without their perspectives.

Donating Items & Equipment
We accept certain circus- and fitness-related items, if they're in good condition. Donations of human weight-bearing items are only accepted upon inspection.
If you have a large or special item that you'd like to offer to the Hub, please contact us to arrange a discussion.
