Trustees
Join our Board of Trustees
We are currently seeking new trustees to join the Circus Hub board.

Trustees help guide the organisation’s strategy, sustainability, and future growth. Our board supports the organisation’s mission to provide accessible circus training, performance opportunities, and creative community experiences.

We are particularly interested in people with skills or experience in:

  • Finance or accounting

  • Fundraising and philanthropy

  • Marketing or communications

  • Governance or legal

  • Property or facilities management

  • Community or arts sector connections.

What matters most is a commitment to the Circus Hub’s kaupapa and a willingness to contribute your skills.

Time commitment: Approximately 12 board meetings per year with prep, plus 2-3 days for strategic input. You can attend as many Hub events as you enjoy through out the year and also choose to volunteer in different ways to support the organisation.

Volunteer Finance Advisor / Accountant

We are looking for a volunteer with finance or accounting experience to support the organisation’s financial oversight and planning.

We already have administrative support managing day-to-day financial data entry. This role focuses on providing higher-level financial guidance, including reviewing financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and helping the Board make informed decisions.

This would suit an accountant or finance professional interested in supporting a community arts organisation.

Time commitment: approximately 5 hours per month.

Your expertise would help ensure the Circus Hub continues to grow as a sustainable community organisation supporting young people, creativity, and circus arts in Wellington. If you are interested in contributing your financial skills, we would love to hear from you.

Circus Trainers and Coaches

The Circus Hub occasionally recruits new trainers to support our growing programme.

We welcome expressions of interest from people with experience in areas such as:

  • youth and kids training

  • aerial circus

  • acrobatics

  • juggling and object manipulation

  • balance and flow arts

Experience working with young people is highly valued, as many of our programmes focus on youth development and confidence building.

Both experienced trainers and emerging instructors are encouraged to get in touch.

Fundraising Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to help grow the Circus Hub’s fundraising efforts.

Fundraising volunteers might support:

  • grant research and applications sponsorship

  • outreach events and

  • fundraising campaigns

  • donor engagement.

This is a great opportunity to help strengthen a much-loved community organisation while building experience in the nonprofit sector.
