Open Practice

To take part in Open Practices you need to acknowledge the following terms and conditions:

• Open Practices may only take place if someone with a current first aid certificate is present. This person may be the tutor of a class taking place at that time

   

• Open Practices are unsupervised - tutors who are present are not expected to provide tuition and if they are teaching, their class's needs must take priority.

• Students should have completed at least two blocks of classes and checked with their tutor before taking part in Open Practice

   

• Open practice is only for practicing moves you have already learnt. It is not safe to try new moves outside of class supervision

   

• All people taking part in open practice are responsible for ensuring others they are practising with are practicing safely

   

• There is a charge of $10 per session. $5 equipment use charge must be put in the WCT honesty box, and $5 must be put in the Fuse Circus honesty box for use of the space.  There is a conscession rate of $7 for unwaged /low income.  Please put $3.50 in both the Fuse Circus and WCT honesty boxes.

   

• It is never OK to practice alone, when unwell or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or strong medication

   

• Contact details of people signed up for open practice will be shared amongst the people signed up. This is for practical reasons - to organise practices - and in case something goes wrong.

  Currently Open Practices are running on Saturdays 9.30 - 1 p.m. Note that classes between 10.30 -1pm will have first priority on the tissu but 2 tissus will be guaranteed for open practice.
