103A Adagio 7.30-9pm at Miramar

Adagio (partner balance also known as Acrobalance) is a great way to build balance and stability. It is recommended as a complimentary skill to Hand Balance (solo balance).

Adagio (Acrobalance) requires students to develop strength and form to control their balance when working with a partner.  This class is both social and interactive as students learn to depend on each other and to allow others to support their body weight.  This sort of acrobatic work is a natural extension to dance partnering and hand balance.

Beginners are welcome (previous training in other circus disciplines or gymnastics, dance, climbing, martial arts or similar disciplines will be an advantage).

Advanced acrobats are also welcome.  With two excellent tutors working this class (Rodrigo Oses and Virginia Molina) there is flexibility to work with a wide range of skills and to keep everyone challenged at their own level.   The tutors are looking forward to working on some advanced partnering techniques and transitions with the more advanced students.  Rodrigo and Virginia are not available to teach in term 4 of this year, so don't miss this opportunity to work with them.

Participants are expected to disclose to the tutor any previous injuries or medical conditions that may affect their health and safety in these classes.

The cost of this course is $180 or $165 if paid by 19 July.

Please contact Alice on info@circus.org.nz if you have any queries about this course or if you need help with our online enrolment process.
